Melina Koan was born in Athens,Greece in 1987. As a young girl she started painting,not as a professional but for her own pleasure. She studied Building Restoration and Renovation in the city of Patras,Greece in 2005 until 2010.
After a few years working as an Architect,her passion for painting came through and became stronger, leading her to the decision that painting was her soul purpose.In February of 2018,inspired by pop art such as street art elements,she participated in "Miss Pepper" exhibition that took place at Michalis Kakogiannis institution.
The same year in May of 2018 she had started her first personal exhibition "The Missing Background" and presented it at the Sofitel Athens Airport Hotel.
Later on the same year in June she took part in a group exhibition represented in Skoufa Gallery at Mykonos island and in January of 2019 she on her own exposes her paintings in the same gallery.
In February of 2019 her second personal exhibition "Once Upon a Time" takes place in Barrett,while on the 17th of February her third exhibition,named "A Parrot’s wings" takes place at "A Liar Man".
In June of 2019,she participates in "45 x 45" group exhibition, organised by Blender Gallery and in a group exhibition named "Urban Lovers" at Athinais Cultural Center.
